Eco-Performance fuel: Alternatives in Energy
Since the dawn of civilization, the use of energy resources has been an important part of human life. Energy consumption skyrocketed after the Industrial Revolution as people discovered that their lives could be made easier and their economies fueled by increasing energy consumption. In the last 40 years or so, we have realized that there have been unforeseen and harmful side effects to energy consumption. Those side effects range from pollution of air and water on a local basis to concerns that fuel consumption may produce global climate changes. To minimize those deleterious effects, there is a societal push to utilize forms of energy that produce fewer oxides of sulfur and nitrogen, which cause smog and acid rain. Furthermore, as we consume ever-increasing amounts of energy, there is concern that we might run out of resources such as oil, natural gas, and coal. It is thus imperative that we find new or alternative forms of renewable energy, rather than continuing to consume our ever-diminishing supply of oil, gas, and coal.
Many different solutions have been proposed to the world’s environmental problems. Many of those solutions require far-reaching, expensive changes in the way we live, and will not be workable for many years to come. We at Eco-Performance strive to find ways to improve our environment now, working with the world as it is. Our environmentally-responsible fuels are designed to make existing gasoline and diesel engines less polluting, while using fewer non-renewable resources.
Through its Executive Officers, Eco-Performance Products combines over 100 years of management experience, with hands-on, in-the-field experience in the areas of business, fuels chemistry, and NASCAR and NHRA racing. This unique combination of versatile executive backgrounds led Eco-Performance’s founders to develop new alternative fuels that:
- contain substantial amounts of renewable components (Eco-Performance Fuel is less than 50% gasoline, LP BioDiesel is 20% renewable)
- require virtually no mechanical adjustments to modern fuel-injected vehicle engines
- produce power equal to or greater than that produced by conventional fuels
- reduce emissions significantly (as much at 99%) compared to conventional fuels
- are as safe to manufacture, store, transport, and use as conventional fuels
- are, in the case of Eco-Performance-Fuel, the subject of a patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office covering a range of fuel compositions.
- are currently being tested in the laboratory and on the track, pending commercial introduction.
Eco-Performance Products was organized in the 3rd quarter of 2002, and is now working to establish worldwide production and distribution channels for their groundbreaking fuels.
